Peru Photo Tour Recap -- Fun Photos

Peruvian markets held plenty of subjects to photograph.  It was fun to share photo subjects and then see how each of us captured the image.  Lots of sharing and playing

Tiny birds made from gourds.

Colorful yard that's been dyed with natural dyes.
Pots of dyes in the Pisac market.

Mask in the Cusco market.

Tiny dolls in Peruvian clothing in the market in Machu Picchu.

Peruvian pan flutes.

The gardens in the patio of the Seminario Gallery in Urubamba.  This was photographed at night using an ISO of 6400.  I leaned against a post to keep the camera steady.

  1. How much color do you add (saturation?) in post-processing? Or do you use a special setting in the camera to capture the images in a more vivid than usual way? I use the 'Standard' setting on Nikon and the colors are not nearly as rich.

    1. Bert, I don't use that much saturation in post-processing. I move the vibrance slider and saturation slider to about 15. I have one notch of saturation set in my camera under picture styles. I also use AdobeRGB as my color space. It makes a huge different in the photo.

The photos above are not overly saturated. The colors are pretty true.
